New York – Olive Head, the Grand Dame of commercial photographer reps, today announced the launch of olivehead.com, her first foray online.  “I’m a reluctant cybernaut,” she admits.  “I much prefer the sound of someone’s voice on the phone, or the charm and excitement of meeting face to face.  But when in Rome…”

Indeed, Ms. Head attributes much of her considerable success as a top commercial photographer rep over the past 25 years to her somewhat contrarian approach to business.  “I look for good people with good hearts first,” she says.  “Then I look at their books.  But I never represent anyone I wouldn’t want to sit down and break bread with.  Life is too short.”

Her photographers echo her sentiments: “I wanted a true collaborator in my career,” says Michael Filonow, one of her rising stars.  “And that’s a service the big rep firms simply don’t deliver.”  Another of her top photographers, Nesti Mendoza, agrees:  “Olive’s loyalty and friendship are critical components to my success, not to mention the quality of my life” he says.  “These are things that I just won’t find in any large agency.”
