Brunswick (T)

New York is a state in the northeastern United States. It is called New York State when there is need to distinguish it from New York City. Because a significant majority of the population is concentrated in the southern portion around New York City, the state is often regionalized into Upstate and Downstate. New York is the home of Ellis Island, where many immigrants in the early 20th century arrived in the United States.

Brunswick is a town in Rensselaer County, New York, USA. The population was 11,664 at the 2000 census. The town is named after Brunswick in Germany. The town of Brunswick is east of Troy, New York, but on the west side of the county. The population density was 101.1 per square kilometers. There were 4,808 housing units at an average density of 41.7 per square kilometers.

Like some of its sister towns, Brunswick is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in New York.
