Busti is a town in Chautauqua County, New York, USA. The population was 7,760 at the 2000 census. The town is named after Paul Busti, an official of the Holland Land Company. The town of Busti is located in Chautauqua County, the southwestern most County in New York State.
 
The town of Busti is located at the south end of Chautauqua Lake, southwest of Jamestown, New York. Settlement began around 1811. The town of Busti was founded in 1823 from parts of the Towns of Harmony and Ellicott. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 123.7 square kilometers.
