Camillus is a town in Onondaga County, New York, USA. The population was 23,152 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 89.3 square kilometers. It was founded on March 8, 1799 the town of Camillus is named after the Roman general Marcus Furius Camillus and is the only town in the United States to bear that name. It has population 23,268 in 2005.
