Deerpark is a town in Orange County, New York, United States. Orange County is a county located in the U.S. state of New York. The population was 7,858 at the 2000 census. The center of population of New York is located in Cuddebackville. The Town of Deerpark is in the western part of the county. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 175.8 square kilometers. 172.0 square kilometers of it is land and 3.8 square kilometers of it is water.
In the town the population was spread out with 27.5 percent under the age of 18, 6.3 percent from 18 to 24, 29.4 percent from 25 to 44, 25.8 percent from 45 to 64, and 11.0 who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 100.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.5 males.
