New York is a state in the northeastern United States. Majority of the population is concentrated in the southern portion around New York City, the state is often regionalized into Upstate and Downstate. New York is the home of Ellis Island, where many immigrants in the early 20th century arrived in the United States.
 
Malta is a hometown ideally located on Interstate 87 in Saratoga County, New York, 10 miles south of historic Saratoga Springs and 20 miles north of Albany, State’s capital. Malta is midway between Boston, Montreal, Buffalo and New York City. The population was 13,005 at the 2000 census. Inhabited by citizens enjoying the quality of life a small town offers, such as quiet neighborhoods, two large recreational parks, and highly acclaimed school systems. The town was created in 1802 from part of the town of Stillwater.
 
The town has a total area of 81.2 square kilometers. 72.6 square kilometers of it is land and 8.7 square kilometers of it is water. In the town the population was spread out with 25.6 percent under the age of 18, 6.4 percent from 18 to 24, 36.6 percent from 25 to 44, 22.9 percent from 45 to 64, and 8.6 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 100.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.7 males.
 
Places of interest in a County known for its health, horses and history. You can see that place where the Battle of Saratoga was fought, be entertained at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and enjoy the fast pace of the Saratoga Race Track. The National Museum of dance and the National Museum of Racing are within a few minutes of Malta. For the boating enthusiasts, the Town of Malta borders the lovely Saratoga Lake. The Town currently has a major Nano-Tech park in the developmental stage, as well as many other exciting projects on the agendas of the Town's Planning board and Town Board.

A town known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Malta is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
