Massapequa Park is a village in Nassau County, New York, USA. The population was 17,499 at the 2000 census. Massapequa Park is a wonderful community on the south shore of New York's Long Island. The village has a total area of 5.7 square kilometers. Massapequas are noted for having the highest population and percentage of Italians on Long Island. Massapequa Park, and neighboring Massapequa, East Massapequa and North Massapequa, are also well known Italian mafia neighborhoods over the years.
