New York is a state in the northeastern United States. Majority of the population is concentrated in the southern portion around New York City; the state is often regionalized into Upstate and Downstate. Walton is a village in Delaware County, New York, USA. In 2000, the population of the city was 3,070 and an area of 4.1 square kilometers. The village of Walton is in the town of Walton. In the village the population was spread out with 24.2 percent under the age of 18, 6.7 percent from 18 to 24, 26.1 percent from 25 to 44, 23.5 percent from 45 to 64 and 19.4 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 87.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 83.8 males.
