The Buffalo Zoo: Dare to Explore It

The Buffalo Zoo is the third oldest zoo in the United States. It was established in 1875. This zoo is located on 300 Parkside Avenue in Buffalo, NY. Every day that you visit this place, you will encounter naturalistic wildlife habitats, animal exhibits, garden areas and unique areas that allow you to enjoy this fun environment full of history and adventure. The zoo opens from Wednesdays to Sundays, regardless of the weather conditions. Seasonal shows of the zoo include: puppet shows, keeper talks and animal contact, among others; you can also celebrate the birthday party of your children, brother, sister, nephew and niece.

The Children’s Zoo of the Buffalo Zoo is a hands-on animal exploration, see it for yourself, this petting zoo gives them the chance to touch the animals inside the exhibits. Do not worry, I am talking about domestic animals such as chickens, Karakul sheep and Ossabaw Island pigs. Interactive stations, seasonal outdoor animal demonstrations, a suspension over a pond and a well-stocked vegetable garden are seasonal features of the Children’s Zoo.

The Zootique is the gift shop of the Zoo; it offers many gift selections and souvenirs. The Beastro is a concession stand that opens all year. The Zoo also has a large collection of Boehm porcelain; it is opened during zoo hours. The Buffalo Zoo houses a rich variety of animals from all the corners of the world including mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds. If you want to have a great time and learn a lot, visit the Buffalo Zoo.
