Bayville (V)

New York is a state in the northeastern United States. It is called New York State when there is need to distinguish it from New York City. Because a significant majority of the population is concentrated in the southern portion around New York City, the state is often regionalized into Upstate and Downstate. New York is the home of Ellis Island, where many immigrants in the early 20th century arrived in the United States.

Bayville is a village in Nassau County, New York in the USA. The population was 7,135 at the 2000 census. The Village of Bayville is within the Town of Oyster Bay. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.8 square kilometers.

Like some of its sister village, Bayville is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in New York.
