Brockport is a village located in the town of Sweden in Monroe County, New York, USA. The population was 8,103 at the 2000 census. The name reportedly is derived from Hiel Brockway, an early settler. The Village of Brockport is in the western part of Monroe County, west of the City of Rochester. Brockport calls itself the village of beautiful homes.
 
Brockport tourist attraction sites include the Erie Canal runs through the village of Brockport, as well as several other villages or towns in the area. Main Street contains many historical buildings, and is a minor tourist attraction. Also, the Erie Canal Boardwalk that runs from Main Street along the canal is a common spot for locals to enjoy a stroll.
