Candor is a town in Tioga County, New York, USA. The population was 5,317 at the 2000 census. The town of Candor has a village named Candor. The town is south of Ithaca, New York. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 245.0 square kilometers.
Like some of its sister towns, Candor is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in New York.
