East Fishkill is a town in Dutchess County, New York, USA. The population was 25,589 at the 2000 census. The town name is derived from its formation from Fishkill, New York. The Town of East Fishkill is on the south border of the county.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 148.5 square kilometers. 147.4 square kilometers of it is land and 1.2 square kilometers of it is water. In the town the population was spread out with 29.7 percent under the age of 18, 6.4 percent from 18 to 24, 30.4 percent from 25 to 44, 25.5 percent from 45 to 64, and 8.0 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 98.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.9 males.
