New York is a state in the northeastern United States. Majority of the population is concentrated in the southern portion around New York City, the state is often regionalized into Upstate and Downstate. New York is the home of Ellis Island, where many immigrants in the early 20th century arrived in the United States.
 
Manlius is a village in Onondaga County, New York, USA. The population was 4,819 at the 2000 census. The village takes its name from its town. The Village of Manlius is near the south town line of the Town of Manlius and is southeast of Syracuse, New York.
 
Manlius is in the former Central New York military tract. The first settlers in the town located near the current village in 1790. The community became the first village in the county in 1813. Manlius has something to offer to each and everyone. It’s a village with a proud heritage because of its rich abundance of services. The quality of life is evident in the Village’s safe streets and friendly neighborhoods. Richard Penhall is a Mayor of Manlius. 
 
The village has a total area of 4.6 square kilometers. None of the area is covered with water. In the village the population was spread out with 26.7 percent under the age of 18, 4.8 percent from 18 to 24, 27.7 percent from 25 to 44, 24.5 percent from 45 to 64, and 16.3 percent who were 65 years of age or older.

It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
