Mineola is a village in Nassau County, New York, USA. The name is derived from a Native American word meaning a pleasant place. The village of Mineola is in both the town of Hempstead and the town of North Hempstead. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 4.8 square kilometers.
