New Hyde Park is a village in Nassau County, New York, USA. The Village of New Hyde Park is in both the town of Hempstead and the town of North Hempstead. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.2 square kilometers. In the village the population was spread out with 22.1 percent under the age of 18, 7.4 percent from 18 to 24, 28.5 percent from 25 to 44, 23.8 percent from 45 to 64, and 18.1 percent who were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 90.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.9 males. The population was 9,523 in 2000 census.
